Credit Control Officer

Successful candidate will be working in our Finance Department, Dhiraagu Head Office

Key Responsibilities:

  • To ensure that all outstanding debts owed by customers are actively pursued by the Credit Control staff in line with CC policy to minimize bad debts and meet the segmental target yet maintain the good reputation of the Company.
  • Carryout regular follow ups with customers and peruse credit control actions in line with the policy.
  • To attend to customer enquiries by seeking required information from other Departments within Dhiraagu if necessary.
  • To prepare accurate customer payment plans/extensions for all customers who request for them and prepare separate files and maintain them.
  • Carryout day-to-day procedures concerning TOS, WOS and restoration of service and ensure that 'Reminder' letters and other notifications are sent to customers with debts.
  • Intelligently review segmental debtors reports to ensure credit control procedures are operating in accordance with Company procedures.
  • To ensure that service is only provided to customers who are considered credit worthy.
  • To keep abreast of developments or changes made to company billing systems/procedures in order to supply accurate and up-to-date information to customer queries.
  • Prepare reports & KPIs .

Person Specifications:

  • GCE A’ Level or Diploma in Finance or in a related filed
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and other client applications.
  • Confident in dealing with customers in a professional manner.
  • Broad knowledge of telecoms and billing systems.
  • Willing & Keen to learn
  • Initiative, the ability to work in a team and good communication skills are prerequisites.
  • High level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm and confidentiality.
  • Previous experience in a similar field will be an added advantage.
