Other Information about your Data Plan

Data Plan On your Mobile Postpaid:

  • The rates/package fees do not cover data charges while roaming and data roaming charges will apply separately. 

    For Postpaid SMART customers (excluding Smart 169), the Power Plans can be added as an Add-On and the following will apply;
  • Postpaid SMART customers can add Power Plans on top of the Data allowance provided in the Smart Package
  • You can add 2 Data add-ons within a calendar month
  • The Power Data plan fee will be charged fully and you will get the Data allowance in full (there will be no proration, regardless of when you activate the Power Data Plan) 
  • The Power Data will be valid for 30 days from the date of activation 
  • Data allowance will not be carried forward
  • The Power Data plan allowance will be first utilized, followed by the Smart Data bundle. 
  • Excess usage charges will apply in accordance to the respective rates in your Smart Package
  • You will receive SMS notifications when usage reaches the data allowance

    If you are using Platinum, Diamond, Gold, Silver, Bronze , InTouch, or SMART 169 Plan, the following will apply; 
  • The Power Data Plans can be added on subscription basis; 
  • The Power Data plan rental and Data allowance will be prorated upon activation. 
  • Your subscription will be automatically renewed on the 1st of every month after activation. 
  • To change or remove your Power Data Plan, send an SMS to 343 as follows; 

    To Add/Change:  ADD <space> Keyword
    To Remove:          REMOVE <space> Keyword
  • The Plan fee will be charged one month in advance.
  • Excess Usage charge for Power Data Plan will be as follows;

  • If you haven’t activated a Power Data Plan, you will be charged at Pay As You Go Rate of 95 Laari /MB
  • When you change your Power Plan, monthly fee and data will be prorated and any existing data balance will be added to new prorated data amount, however not exceeding the maximum data allowance of the new package.
  • If you change your package after the bill run,  the Package Fee charged  in advance, will not be refunded
  • Package change can be done once a month
  • You will receive SMS notifications when usage reaches 90% of the data allowance

You may activate Power Plus3GB and Power Plus5GB Plansif you are using  Platinum, Diamond, Gold, Silver, Bronze,InTouch, or SMART 169 and the following will apply;

  • For Power+ 3GB and Power+5GB, full monthly fee will be charged and the fair usage threshold of 3GB and 5GB will be applicable respectively, regardless of the day of the month that you subscribe to the package. You will still be able to enjoy Data usage without ANY excess usage charges.
  • Fee will be charged one month in advance.
  • If you remove Power+ Data Plan, all features and functionality of the plan will cease and you will be changed to Pay As You Go model.
  • If you add another Data Plan (eg. Power Data Plan), all features and functionality of the Power+ plan will cease and the terms of the newly added Plan will prevail.
  • If you change your Data Plan after the bill run, the Data Plan Fee charged in advance, will not be refunded
  • No data will be carried forward for any package change that involves the Power + Data Plan (change to and from) and Data Plan Fee for Power+ Data plan and its Fair Usage threshold will not be prorated.
  • Data Plan change can be done once a month

Data Plan on your Mobile Prepaid

  • Excess Usage Charges or Pay As You Go rates (if you haven’t activated a Power Data Plan), will be at 90 laari / MB 
  • Prorating, unsubscribing or refunds will not be applicable on Prepaid service 
  • Validity will be calculated from the date of purchase.  
  • You may purchase a Plan for daily and hourly use (Power Extra Data Plans) while you have a Power Data Plan. With regard to how your data balance will be used in such a case , priority will be given to the balance in your Hourly Plan , next to the balance in your Daily Plan and finally to the balance in your Power Data Plan. 
  • Any data balance from your Hourly/ Daily Plans or Power Data will be forfeited if you purchase a Power+ Data Plan. Similarly, if you purchase a package for hourly or daily use or a Power Data Plan while you are on a Power+ Data Plan, all functionality of your Power+ Data Plan will cease. 
  • You may accumulate data by purchasing any of the Power Data Plans as long as there is enough currency balance on your prepaid account. However, the data balance should not exceed 30GB. 
  • You will not be able to accumulate data balances by adding multiple daily and hourly packages. Your most recently purchased Daily or Hourly package will always prevail and any remaining data balance from other plans will be forfeited. 
  • The rates do not cover data charges while roaming and data roaming charges will apply separately.

TouchNet Postpaid:

  • Monthly Fee and Data will be prorated for Power Plans upon activation.
  • Fee will be charged one month in advance.
  • Data allowance will not be carried forward.
  • You can change your Power Data Plan once a month
  • When the respective Fair usage allowance for Power+ Data Plans is exceeded, the speed will be reduced. Even with excess usage, there will be no extra usage charges for you to worry about.  
  • There is a minimum subscription period of 30 days for Power+ Plans. If you change or disconnect the service within 30 days, the full rental of the respective Power+ Plan will be charged towards cancellation. 

TouchNet Prepaid:

  • You can also purchase data plans online, through your TouchNet Prepaid portal: touchnetprepaid.dhiraagu.com.mv.  (Accessible if you are using TouchNet prepaid service)
  • You may accumulate data by purchasing any of the Power Data packages as long as there is enough currency balance on your prepaid account. However, the data balance should not exceed 30GB.
