Dhiraagu is pleased to announce reductions in international direct dialled (IDD) call charges to Saudi Arabia of up to a 54% from 26 December 2004 to 25 January 2005 on the occasion of Hajj.

The reduced rate of Rf 10 per minute anytime of the day, will apply for calls made from fixed telephone lines, card phones and mobiles (both Post-Paid and Pre-Paid).

During this promotion DhiMobile roaming customers in Saudi Arabia receiving calls from the Maldives will also be charged at the special rate of Rf10 per minute. This is less expensive than calling the Maldives from fixed lines in Saudi Arabia, which will cost approximately Rf18 per minute.

The rates for calls made by DhiMobile customers roaming in Saudi Arabia will depend on the Saudi mobile operator and is expected to be around Rf26 per minute for a call to the Maldives.

Also on the occasion of Hajj, Dhiraagu will offer pilgrims a 50% reduction in the roaming deposit when the Hajj ID card is presented with the application. Dhiraagu will also, subject to availability, lend a mobile handset for new DhiMobile customers who wish to subscribe to international roaming service.
