Telecom Service Providers in the Maldives are being affected by Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks from multiple sources. DDoS attacks are malicious attempts to make an online service, machine or network resource unavailable to its intended users by overwhelming service providers with large volumes of false data from multiple sources.
DDoS attacks are a growing problem for service providers across the globe. While reasonable measures are taken to mitigate such attacks and avoid any service interruptions, customers may be experiencing degradations to internet based services. Please be assured that our respective teams are working to further strengthen our respective systems, in order to avert any further disruption.
We thank our customers for their continued patience at this time.
