Dhiraagu is pleased to announce that we are working closely with the State Bank of India (SBI) to introduce a Direct Debit payment scheme.
Direct Debit is the simple, safe and quick way to pay your regular monthly bills automatically. With the introduction of this FREE service, customers simply fill in an application form and your bank pays your monthly telephone bill automatically, deducting the full amount from your bank account on the due date of the bill.
The service enables you; the customer to pay your Dhiraagu bills without having to visit our offices, whilst you are out of the country, or in another atoll. Thus customers are not disconnected and incur no late payment penalty charges.
Direct Debit is suitable for business and individuals who are often busy or travelling, it is extremely popular service in many other countries; currently 32 million people in UK use Direct Debit regularly.
Keith Wilson, Dhiraagu CEO said, "The Maldives is rapidly moving towards electronic banking "e banking" and Dhiraagu will be first company to offer this new enhanced service to customers."
The service is initially being introduced with SBI, however Dhiraagu is keen to work with other Banks to offer the same service. Full details will be announced shortly.
