Dhiraagu is pleased to announce the establishment of International Roaming service with Turkcell from Turkey on 1 May 2002.

With this, International Roaming is available to 64 operators in 30 countries.

International roaming allows customers to use their DhiMobile phones to make and receive calls in other countries where Dhiraagu has established a Roaming Agreement with the local GSM operator.

Customers from these countries can also use their mobile phones when visiting the Maldives. The service has proved very popular as customers begin to appreciate the convenience of being able to stay in touch at all times.

Since International Roaming service was introduced in May 2000, Dhiraagu has worked continually to extend the service to as many countries as possible. New roaming operators are added regularly with priority given to those countries frequently visited by Maldivians and those operators whose customers visit the Maldives.

Notes to Editors:

• There is no connection fee or monthly fee for International Roaming service
• Customers with average monthly bills over Rf 500 and paid all on time over the last 12 months can get the service without keeping a deposit with Dhiraagu.
• International Roaming is not available to DhiMobile Pre-Paid customers
