It is announced today that mobile connection fees of Rf1000/- will be waived on all handsets purchased from Dhiraagu from 1 - 30 September 2000 (this offer is of course open whilst stocks last).

A 12-month warranty is offered on all handsets sold by Dhiraagu, and during this warranty period, replacement handsets are offered whilst the handset is being repaired (the same model is offered where possible).

Dhiraagu now offers 8 different models of top brand handsets from three reputable manufactures; Ericsson, Nokia and Alcatel.

Presently over 5,500 customers are connected to the GSM mobile system.

DhiMobile Service was launched in November 1999 with great success. Since launch capacity has been increased for an additional 4,000 customers and the network can now support over 8,000 customers. The Company is also working to extend coverage to Baa and Lhaviyani atolls.
