The highly anticipated FIBA U16 Asia Cup SABA Qualifiers and FIBA U16 Women’s Asia Cup SABA Qualifiers, powered by Dhiraagu, starts today, Thursday, 12 June 2025, at the Social Centre Indoor Court, Malé.

Taking place from 12 to 16 June 2025, this thrilling tournament will see four South Asian nations, Maldives, India, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh, compete for a coveted spot in the FIBA U16 Asia Cup. This marks a historic first for the Maldives as the host of a FIBA U16-level international basketball event, a proud milestone for the Maldives Basketball Association (MBA) and a major leap forward for youth sports development in the country.

The Women’s National Basket Team of the Maldives will take on Bangladesh at 5:30 PM today, followed by the Men’s National Basket Team facing off against Sri Lanka at 8:00 PM tonight. Both matches promise to bring high energy and strong performances as our national teams compete on home court in this landmark tournament.
