Dhiraagu is pleased to offer a special promotional DhivehiNet rates from 13th to 30th April 1999. The DhivehiNet tariffs for the promotional period are as follows.

Rf 1.75 per min from 0800 - 1959 hrs
Rf 1.25 per min from 2000 - 0059 hrs
Rf 0.87 per min from 0100 - 0759 hrs

The special Rf 0.87 per minute additional tariff band is 50% less than the peak tariff. This special rate is an opportunity for our customers to make a saving by accessing DhivehiNet during less busy hours.

Note to the Editors.

When DhivehiNet was introduced in October 1996, the charges were Rf 2/- per minute for peak hours (0800 - 1959 hrs) and 1/75 for off-peak hours (2000 - 0759hrs) and the connection fee was Rf 1000/-.

As part of Dhiraagu's continued efforts to make the service affordable to the general public, DhivehiNet charges were reduced to the currently used tariffs in February 1998; Rf 1/75 per min for peak hours and Rf 1/25 per min during off-peak hours. The connection fee was also reduced to Rf 500/- .

To make Internet Services more accessible to the general public, Dhiraagu opened a Cyber Cafe in July 1998.
