Dhiraagu is pleased to announce that international bandwidth for DhivehiNet has now been increased 150%.

This provides additional capacity to sufficiently cope with forecast increases in customer usage. Since DhivehiNet was launched in 1996, it has now been upgraded four times.

The current expansion is a direct link to the UK, making three direct links. The C&W London link is a tier-one Internet interconnection node, providing a direct connection to the fastest Internet backbone in the world.

Dhiraagu now has three direct Internet connections to Hong Kong, UK & Italy, two of which are tier-one Internet interconnection nodes. This allows faster Internet access for all customers and considerably enhanced network redundancy and reliability.
