Dhiraagu is pleased to host the second Special Sports Festival. Dhiraagu Special Sports Festival 2012 will take place on the 15th of February 2013 at Henveryru Football Ground from 3.30pm to 6.00pm. The event is an initiative by Dhiraagu , as part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility programme.

Dhiraagu Special Sports Festival is planned as an annual event with a focus on providing opportunities for children and adults with disabilities in various institutions to participate in sports activities. Although the 2012 event was initially scheduled for November 2012, it had to be postponed due to adverse weather conditions. With the start of the new academic year the event is now taking place on the coming Friday 13 February 2013..

The festival will create a platform for further collaboration among institutions and help to advocate for people in need of special care. Dhiraagu Special Sports Festival 2012 will embrace a variety of fun games and sport activities including fun relays designed for children. Care Society, Jamaluddheen School, Imaadhudheen School, Maldives Deaf Association and the Association for Disability and Development will participate in the event.
