Dhiraagu has taken the kids at Kudakudhinge Hiyaa on a submarine trip.
The school holidays are meant to be a relaxation and enjoying time for the students with their families. Likewise, Dhiraagu wanted to give the same opportunity for the under-privileged kids staying at the Kudakudhinge Hiyaa this holiday.
The trip took place today morning, and the kids were joined by some staff from both Dhiraagu and Kudakudhinge Hiyaa. It proved to be a fascinating experience for all the kids involved as they enjoyed their underwater experience.
Dhiraagu hopes that, with this trip, the relationship between Dhiraagu and Kudakudhinge Hiyaa would enhance. Dhiraagu is currently the provider of free internet to the Kudakudhinge Hiyaa with parental control, in addition to sponsoring their staff.
Futhermore, Dhiraagu had also contributed a library setup with 2 computer systems to the orphanage back in 2013.
Previously, Dhiraagu had also taken the kids of Kudakudhinge Hiyaa to the ‘Magic Circus of Samoa’ last year, to allow them a chance to have fun during their school holidays.
Child Protection and Care is a key focus area of our CSR Strategy. Earlier in 2015, Dhiraagu had conducted an Online Child Safety Programme in collaboration with Advocating the Rights of Children (ARC). During the same year, Dhiraagu had also opened an indoor play area at the Maldives Autism Association further to donating developmental resources to care society and Al-Noor Special Needs Centre in Hithadhoo.
The annual Dhiraagu Maldives Road Race and Dhiraagu Special Sports Festival are just two of the events during which we emphasise our strong focus on Child Protection and Protecting their Rights.
