As the full-service telecommunications operator in the Maldives, Dhiraagu is proud to announce the successful launching of 4G LTE service in Addu City. With the official launching of Dhiraagu 4G LTE service in Addu City, customers can experience a superior experience with the fastest speeds in the country. 4G means the fourth generation of data technology for cellular networks. LTE stands for Long Term Evolution and is short for a very technical process for high-speed data for phones and other mobile devices. Together, they make 4G LTE ̶ the fastest 4G service available today. Dhiraagu superior 4G LTE network is now live and active in Male' City, Villingili, Hulhumale', Ibrahim Nasir International Airport, GA. Villingilli, GDh, Thinadhoo, Hdh.Kulhudhufushi, Lh.Naifaru Gn.Fuvahmulah and Addu City.

Dhiraagu 4G LTE network supports up to 100mbps download speed. On average customers can enjoy download speeds of 15 - 20Mbps on Dhiraagu 4G LTE network. The speed range may vary between users and is subject to device, hardware and software limitations, 4G network coverage/traffic, distance between user and base station, nature of the location, source of website and other external factors.

Dhiraagu customers with an LTE supported device, can enjoy the superior 4G experience by having their SIM cards easily replaced to an LTE supported SIM. The 4G LTE frequency for our network is 1800 MHz (band 3) and customers must ensure that their LTE handset falls within this band. The 4G LTE SIM Kits are available to all our customers, free of charge till 31 January 2015. Dhiraagu also introduces the 4G LTE SIM cards with a special SIM adapter that is compatible with all SIM sizes making it more convenient for our customers. Dhiraagu 4G network also supports the widest range of popular LTE devices in the country.
