Dhiraagu is pleased to announce the signing of a Rf 12 million contract with Comverse Technology Inc. of USA for the supply and implementation of a Multimedia Messaging Service Centre and Real Time Data Billing.

The contract was signed by Mr. Ismail Waheed, CEO of Dhiraagu and Mr. Eli Shubi, Account Director of Comverse.

Under this contract Comverse will supply the hardware and software that will enable Dhiraagu to offer multimedia-messaging service (MMS) to DhiMobile Post-Paid and Pre-Paid customers.

The planned launch of MMS service later this year will allow messages containing text, pictures and short audio and video clips to be sent and received between DhiMobile customers using MMS supported mobile handsets.

Speaking at the ceremony Ismail Waheed said, 'Dhiraagu is committed to introducing the latest mobile technologies and services for our customers. I am confident this service will be very popular with our local customers and tourists alike.'

MMS service will initially be available in Male', surrounding area and all resorts.
