Dhiraagu is pleased to announce the signing of a Rf 60 million contract with Alcatel of France to further enhance DhiMobile service.

This contract is part of a Rf 82 million investment to upgrade DhiMobile network to eliminate the levels of congestion and recent connection difficulties our customers across the country have been experiencing. Under the project, DhiMobile network will also be expanded to support up to 155,000 customers.

The signing of this contract today brings Dhiraagu’s total investment in DhiMobile to Rufiyaa 637 million (US$50m).

The contract was signed on behalf of Dhiraagu by the CEO Ismail Waheed and on behalf of Alcatel by the Area Sales Manager Mr. Denis Bouzac.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ismail said, “This latest investment to further enhance the DhiMobile GSM mobile network demonstrates our firm and continued commitment to offering our customers the highest quality mobile service in the Maldives. It is also a demonstration of our confidence in and commitment to the future of DhiMobile and the Maldives.”
