Dhiraagu is pleased to inform its customers that the damage caused to the Maldives-Sri Lanka international submarine cable on 18th April 2012 has been successfully repaired and the services are now fully restored.
Dhiraagu Director Marketing, Ahmed Maumoon said "we apologise for the inconvenience experienced by the customers and as announced previously compensation will be given to customers affected during this period, which will be offered in the form of 'service credits' and the details will be communicated directly to them".
Details of the service credit will be as following:
ADSL Internet Customers | Rental waive-off for affected period
TouchNet Postpaid Customers | Free 20% data allowance till 31st May 2012
Touchnet Prepaid Customers | Free allowance of 200MB till 15th May 2012
Mobile Internet Customers | 20% extra allowance on data packages till 31st May and 0.8 laari per Kb for mobile internet usage outside subscribed bundles till 7th May 2012
In accordance to Dhiraagu's contingency plan every effort was made to restore services at the earliest. Dhiraagu also assures customers that immediate steps have been taken to further increase diversity paths to minimize any such future impact.
