Dhiraagu Maldives Road Race Postponed until 2021 amid COVID-19
Considering the current situation of COVID-19 pandemic, we have taken the decision to  postpone the 14th edition of Dhiraagu Maldives Road Race (DMRR), the largest annual run held in the Maldives.

Social distancing being the key to contain the spread of COVID-19, we have also decided not to host any major events during this year which involves mass participation and public gathering.

As you know, DMRR brings together thousands of runners from all over the country every year and it is our most anticipated event. It is indeed a sad decision for all of us to postpone the event. However, we would not hesitate to place the highest priority on the health and safety of our runners, supporters and the community which would always come first.

As we navigate through uncertain times this year, we are fully focused on responding to COVID-19 to support our customers, staff, government, authorities and the community. As we get through this, we hope to make preparations to have a bigger and better event next year.

We truly appreciate the love and continued support we have received for the past 13 consecutive years from both local and international participants for Dhiraagu Maldives Road Race.

Dhiraagu is committed to practice the sporting values of responsibility and solidarity as we combat the present global crisis together. In the meantime, we urge everyone to follow the advice from medical professionals and authorities to Stay Home and Stay Safe.
