At a press conference held today by Football Association of Maldives (FAM), Dhiraagu has been announced as the official sponsor of the Maldives National Football Team for the upcoming SAFF Championship 2011, to be held on 2-11 December 2011 in New Delhi.

Football is in fact the most favoured sport in the nation. Maldivians take pride in their National Football Team, especially of the achievements made during the recent SAFF Championships and our community remains looking forward to more success to be achieved internationally.

Dhiraagu shares that passion for the sport and remain as the one of the biggest contributor to Maldivian Football. Dhiraagu is also the sponsor of Dhivehi League, the largest national league in the country.

Youth development is a vital area of focus in Dhiraagu's CSR programme and such support extended by the company contributes to empower, support and cultivate local talent in the country.
