As part of our continued efforts to create greater interest and awareness in the Internet we are launching the first Dhiraagu Website Design Awards. This competition is intended to acknowledge and encourage Maldivians in web designing.

Dhiraagu Internet Awards will be presented in 4 categories: Most Popular Maldivian Site, Best Personnel Site, Best Teenage Site and Best Kids Site.

Best Personal Site category is open to all ages. The Best Teenage Site category is open to ages 13-19, whilst those under 13 years are eligible for the Best Kids Site category. The winners in, Best Teenage and Best Kids category will receive a Computer System, trophy, certificate and a cash prize.

Cash prize, trophies and certificates will also be awarded to 2nd and 3rd place winners. The winner in the Best Personal Site category will be awarded a cash prize, trophy and certificate. The winner in the Most Popular Website will be awarded a trophy and a certificate.

The Most Popular Maldivian Web Site will be chosen by public vote and Dhiraagu will award a trophy and a certificate for the winning site, at a special ceremony.

Web sites for this competition are to be submitted online before the closing date of 31 October 2000.
