Dhiraagu is pleased to announce a 50% reduction in mobile to mobile SMS charges effective 26 March 2005. With this change, a national SMS between two DhiMobile customers will be charged 50 laari and an international SMS just Rf1.

This major reduction in SMS prices, which will apply to both Post-Paid and Pre-Paid customers, has become possible with the huge increase in the popularity of SMS in recent months, especially among the younger DhiMobile users.

This reduction is the latest in a series of initiatives designed to provide greater value for our DhiMobile customers. This year alone we have made major reductions in the post paid and prepaid tariffs in January where customers can now make calls for under Rf1 per minute, reduced international tariffs in February including flat rate calling at any time to SAARC countries and introduced the Friends and Family scheme in March, where customers can call nominated numbers and receive 15% and 25% reductions on national and international calls respectively.

The halving of SMS price will, in addition to significant cost savings, offer DhiMobile customers the opportunity to have fun with SMS more than ever before.
