Dhiraagu is pleased to announce the introduction of DhiMobile service to Faafu Nilandhoo and Dhaalu Kuda Huvadhoo today.

The Chairman of Dhiraagu Mr. Mauroof Jameel officially inaugurated the service to both these islands by calling the Assistant to the Atoll Chief of Faafu Atoll Mr. Mohamed Jaleel and the Atoll Chief of Dhaalu Atoll Mr. Mohamed Adam respectively.

The ceremony held in Male’ was attended by the CEO of Dhiraagu Mr Ismail Waheed and Head of Networks of Dhiraagu Mr. Ismail Rasheed.

This expansion of mobile coverage to Nilandhoo and Kuda Huvadhoo is part of Rf168 million project being carried out by Dhiraagu to expand and enhance DhiMobile service. Under this project, DhiMobile coverage will be extended to another 5 inhabited islands and a number of industrial islands over the next 5 months. When this project is completed in mid 2005, DhiMobile coverage will be available to 78% of the population.

With the extension of mobile coverage to Faafu Nilandhoo and Dhaalu Kuda Huvadhoo today, DhiMobile coverage is now available in all the Atolls Capitals of the country.
