Dhiraagu has expanded its 4G network – the largest and the fastest in the country – to 3 additional islands.

As part of its nationwide expansion of Dhiraagu Broadband Internet programme, Dhiraagu added Dh. Kudahuvadhoo and L.Gan Thundi and Mathimaradhoo to the growing list of islands with 4G LTE service.

With this expansion, Dhiraagu currently provides 4G LTE Service to 58% of the country’s population. Dhiraagu is also the only provider of 4G LTE network in major inhabited islands of the country excluding Greater Male’ and Male’ Atoll.

Speaking upon the launch of the service in 3 regions of the country, Dhiraagu Public Relations Manager Imjad Jaleel said, “We are immensely proud to be able to deliver this service to these major regions of the country. All these regions are currently using our 3G service extensively, and it is an honour for us to be able to become the first operator in the country to provide the even faster 4G LTE service to our customers in these regions as well. We are working tirelessly on expanding our 4G LTE services to many more regions within this year as well and to further enhance our network in the country. We hope that the high speed internet that we will be able to provide for our customers with this network would not only make things easier for all the institutions and organizations of the country, but will also contribute to making the lives easier for the individuals and contribute to the overall development of our much isolated islands as well.”

Dhiraagu covered 100% of all inhabited islands with their 3G network by October of last year.
