    Dhiraagu enters the new millennium smoothly
    Dhiraagu wishes to advise all customers that it's telecommunications network has successfully rolled over into the new millennium and all its services are working normal without any Y2K related problem.

    However, customers would have experienced intermittent congestion on the international telephone network at the dawn of the new millenium. As we have advised earlier, this was due to the increase in international calls on the occasion of the new millennium and New Year.

    The General Manager of Dhiraagu Mr. Bob Ure said "The smooth transition was the result of efforts and preparations made to ensure we provide uninterrupted service to our customers up to, during and into the year 2000."

    Dhiraagu began this preparatory work in 1997, and it declared the completion of it in Dec. 1999.
