Dhiraagu enables checking of USD exchange rate via SMS to its customers. With the introduction of this service Dhiraagu customers can enjoy the convenience of checking the USD exchange rate by sending a text message from anywhere, at any time.

Dhiraagu Marketing Communications & PR Manager, Mohamed Mirshan Hassan highlighted that SMS is one of the most popular mediums of communication and this service is a hassle-free way to check the daily exchange rates.

Customers can simply send an SMS to 240 with the keyword ER, and receive the information via an SMS or though Dhiraagu Mobile Self-Care Menu *123# and by browsing the Information section to get USD exchange (FOREX) rates. Alternatively customers can dial *123*2*8*1# for a shortcut.

Customers will be charged Rf 1 per SMS sent to 240 or each time they select the US Dollar menu on Mobile Self-Care to receive the exchange rates.

The USD exchange rates quoted in the SMS are sourced from Maldives Monetary Authority and will indicate the last updated date and time from the banks. Whilst every effort is made to ensure the information is accurate, customers should note that the rates provided are intended only as a guide as they are subject to change at the bank's discretion.
