Dhiraagu has been announced as the Exclusive Telecom Partner of Dive48, an event Organized by Atoll Scuba.

The event, which will be the first attempt within the Maldives to continuously dive for 48 hours, is set to be held at one of the top 10 dives sites of the Maldives, Maaya Thila in Ari Atoll.
The dive is conducted by many local and International divers who will be joined by the world record free diver, Şahika Ercümen. Furthermore, a group of marine biologists will be joining the dive to conduct research on the state of the reef and monitor the marine life and eco system.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Dhiraagu Public Relations Manager Imjad Jaleel emphasized that Dhiraagu takes a keen interest to join such events that supports Youth Development. He stated that Dhiraagu is currently the official telecom partner of the popular event ‘Atoll Sailor’ which is a journey around Maldives in a catamaran by Sailor Abdul Ghafoor. ‘As such, Shafraz Naeem, the event organizer of Atoll48 is also a prominent youth of the Maldives and Dhiraagu takes pride in supporting him and being part of this national event.’

“Our main objective is to create awareness on the importance of protecting the reefs and the oceans. Similarly, to display the negative effects of coral bleaching and to demonstrate the current condition of the eco-system to the public,” said Shafraz Naeem. “With the assistance and connection provided by Dhiraagu Team, we will be able to share the photos and stream the dive footage live. We thank Dhiraagu for the immense support.”
