Today we mark the 3rd anniversary of the launch of DhiMobile GSM service. Currently over 38,500 customers (both Post-Paid and Pre-Paid) use the service, a clear indication that Dhiraagu is delivering an appropriate value-for-money service that meets the customer needs.
Since DhiMobile service was introduced in 1999, Dhiraagu has continually worked to expand the coverage so that today mobile coverage is available in all 88 resorts and 71 inhabited islands in 14 atolls covering 54% of the population of the Maldives.
In addition to extending the coverage, the system capacity in Male' is being continually increased to ensure a high quality of service is maintained with the rapidly increasing number of DhiMobile customers.
Over the last 3 years, DhiMobile call charges were reduced 3 times and DhiMobile Pre-Paid service introduced making high quality mobile communication service affordable to all Maldivians.
Today DhiMobile customers can enjoy many modern convenient services such as CallerID, VoiceMail, SMS, International Roaming, Fax Mail and Conference Calls. More advanced services will be introduced soon.
