Dhiraagu is pleased to announce that all the telecommunications services currently offered to our customers in Male' are now available in HulhuMale' at the same quality and rates as Male'.

Under the Rf25 million project to provide modern communication services in HulhuMale' the following major activities were completed.

-  Construction of a telecommunication complex
-  Installation of a 45 meter telecommunications tower and a 34Mbps digital microwave link to Male'
-  Installation of a fixed line telephone exchange
-  Installation of GSM mobile base stations covering the whole of HulhuMale'.
-  Installation of all the equipment to provide ADSL broadband Internet service
-  A cable network in the built up area with connections extended to all residential blocks
-  Installation of a standby power generation system
-  Construction of a Customer Front Office where customers can apply for service, pay their bills, use the Internet and buy telecommunications equipment

In addition, Dhiraagu will also install a high speed optical fibre network in HulhuMale, capable of carrying high-speed data and video. This work will progress in tandem with the road works.

Dhiraagu CEO, Ismail Waheed said, "Our objective was to provide the same communications services at the same quality and rates as Male' by the time the first inhabitants move to HulhuMale'.
