Dhiraagu is pleased to announce from 21 November 2001, the 2nd anniversary of the launch of GSM service; DhiMobile Post-Paid connection fees will be reduced from Rf 1,000 to Rf 500.

In the past year we have invested over Rf 38 Million to improve and expand DhiMobile service to cover an additional 15 resorts and 5 inhabited islands in 6 atolls.

Currently DhiMobile network covers 86 resorts and 32 inhabited islands in 9 atolls. New services such as VoiceMail, SMS and Pre-Paid have been introduced this year. International roaming service is also very popular with the local business community and visiting tourists with 54 operators in 27 countries covered. Since introduction DhiMobile GSM service has been very popular with customers and we now have over 16,500 customers, including 4,900 on Pre-Paid.

Dhiraagu CEO, Keith Wilson said, "On DhiMobile 1st anniversary we reduced monthly subscription fees by 50% and introduced new calling rates. On the 2nd anniversary we are reducing connection fees by 50%. This shows our continual commitment to offering all customers the best possible price."
