4th Annual Dhiraagu Broadband Road Race
Dhiraagu’s Broadband Road Race, the high-profile annual event, is scheduled to take place in the afternoon of Friday, 16 July 2010.

Last year’s race boasted over 580 participants, and with interest building up for the event this year, we hope to attract even more runners.

As in previous years, Dhiraagu Broadband Road Race is organized by Dhiraagu in association with the Athletics Association of Maldives (AAM), who also took part in the press conference held today.

Speaking at the press conference, Dhiraagu’s Manager Marketing Communications and Public Relations Mohamed Mirshan Hassan also explained that this year’s race will be dedicated to the cause ‘New Blood for the World’ which is a blood donation campaign launched by a group of non-governmental organisations. As such, all communication materials related to the Broadband Road Race will carry their logo.

There are no changes to the race route, starting off near the Artificial Beach, moving north on Boduthakurufaanu Magu. The race continues right around Male’, ending once again at the Artificial Beach.

This is also where the fun is centred, with children’s activities and live music throughout the afternoon. The four categories for the Broadband Road Race are detailed below:
