World Cup Promotion- Guess The Score 

As part of the World Cup 2018 festivities, we launched “Guess The Score” SMS based contest for our customers. This statement is released to clear any confusion customers may have had regarding the contest and also we apologize that there was a slight delay in resetting the points from round of 16 to quarter finals. However, the issue was resolved and the correct entries were used in the lucky draw.

The details of the contest were as follows:

To participate, customers had to use the USSD menu *282# and were directed to further details regarding the matches of the day. For every USSD usage MVR 2 was charged.  

• Participants had to select a match and guess the score 10 minutes prior to kick-off (penalty shootouts were not counted towards the score). An acknowledgement SMS was sent to the customer for each guess.
• Participants were able to send up to 10 guesses per match.  
• Points were awarded for each of the stages as follows;

• The USSD menu displayed a leader board of the top 10 participants with the highest points.
• Prize winners for each stage were selected through a lucky draw. Each point was considered as a separate entry into the lucky draw. Participants with more points accumulated had more chances of winning in the lucky draw. 
• The points were reset after each stage.

Prizes and winner selection

At each of the following stages of the competition, Dhiraagu held a lucky draw and 3 winners were selected:

·       To allow more customers the chance to win prizes, winners from each of the above stages of the competition were not eligible for further prizes at subsequent rounds. However, all points accumulated throughout the competition will be counted and entered into the final lucky draw.

·       The unique identifier that was entered into the lucky draw software was the participant’s mobile number from which he/she participated.

Final Grand Winner:

All participants who have accumulated points from any of the stages will be entered into the final grand lucky draw, which is scheduled to be held in August 2018.

For the Grand Prize, Dhiraagu will be offering a trip for one person to England to watch an EPL match. The prize includes a return ticket for one person, a ticket for an EPL match and accommodation for 3 nights.

Other terms 

·       The prize awarded to the winner is subjected to credit vetting.

·       Winners are notified by Dhiraagu Marketing Department, after each lucky draw.

·       The prize will be awarded to the registered owner of the mobile phone number.

·       If there is any outstanding payment to Dhiraagu under the winner’s ID, he/she will be able to claim the prize after clearing the outstanding.

·       If we are unable to contact the winner on the mobile number used in the contest or if the winner is contacted and the prize is not collected within 1 month, it will result in disqualification and the prize will be forfeited. 

·       Dhiraagu Marketing Department will arrange for the winner to collect their prize. The winner will be required to provide original ID card / passport for verification purposes.

·       If the winner is unable to come then he/she may advise in writing with details, including ID card / passport of the person who would collect the prize on behalf of the winner.

·       Prizes awarded cannot be refunded, upgraded, substituted or exchanged (including for cash).

·       For the Grand Prize the lucky winner may express their preferred team and match 2 months before the EPL match date. Tickets to matches are subject to availability, and while Dhiraagu will endeavor to provide a ticket as preferred but may not be able to do so, in such cases we will offer the lucky winner the best available option.

·       The winner is solely responsible for all other travel requirements and documents such as valid passport or visa required for international travel where applicable.
