All customers are advised that the reconnection fee for fixed lines and mobiles will be adjusted to Rf 50/- with effect from 1 October 2000.

The reconnection fee is applicable to all customers temporarily disconnected for non-payment (note each respective bill has a stipulated due date for payment).

This step has been taken to encourage prompt payment of bills, as the number of customers paying their bills after the due date has increased recently with some customers consistently waiting for their line(s) to be disconnected before making payment.

We would remind all customers that our primary intention is to discourage late payment and not to penalize customers by increasing the existing reconnection fee. All customers can avoid disconnection and the reconnection fee by making payment on time.
