Submarine cable repair ship 'ASEAN Explorer', currently in India is getting the required equipment and cables ready for the repair and obtaining the necessary approvals from relevant authorities for reaching the cable damage point that is 26km off Sri Lanka.

According to the latest update received from the cable ship 'ASEAN Explorer' is expected to complete the preparatory work and leave India on 24th April to reach the cable damage point in Sri Lanka on 25th April to commence the repair work.

Dhiraagu is constantly in touch with the ship and working with the relevant authorities and counterparts to expedite the work process.
