Dhiraagu wishes to announce upgrades to the free WebSMS service to minimize abuse and to evolve the service in line with world trends.
Effective 3 November 2004, when a customer opens a WebSMS account, Dhiraagu will only send the account password to a DhiMobile number specified by the customer. The password will have to be used every time the customer wishes to access the WebSMS service.
Also effective this date, the maximum number of SMS messages that a customer can send per day will be limited to 10. This limit will not have any effect on the majority of our customers as our records show that 92% of the WebSMS users currently send less than 10 WebSMS per day.
With this upgrade, all the existing WebSMS accounts will be cancelled and customers will be required to register again to use the service. Registration will continue to be free and can be completed online anytime at the WebSMS site.
Customers with any queries can call 123 FREE (24 hours a day, 7 days a week) or email
[email protected].
Note for Editors: Dhiraagu has been one of the very few mobile operators in the world offering unlimited WebSMS. Most other operators allow a very limited use of Free Web SMS while others charge for sending SMS through the Internet.
