Dhiraagu announces that starting from 29th April 2005; all DhiMobile numbers will be changed to seven digit numbers starting with the number 7.
All existing 6 digit numbers will be prefixed with the digit 7. Until 31st July 2005, customers can make calls by dialling both the new 7 digit and the old 6 digit numbers. Calls coming to the 6 digit number will be diverted to the new 7 digit number.
Customers who dial 6 digit numbers from fixed lines might find their calls being connected after a delay and customers dialling the new 7 digit numbers might reach incorrect numbers if they dial too slowly.
Along with the change to all DhiMobile numbers, SMS Centre number will also change from 780000 to 7780000.
In association with the DhiMobile number change, customers who have already purchased Nice Numbers will be given the opportunity to exchange their old number with a new Nice Number of the same category.
This offer would be open for fixed lines as well once the fixed line numbers are changed.
