Dhiraagu wishes to advise all our customers that due to sun interference there will be a degradation in all communication between Male' and the Southern Atolls (Gaafu Alif, Gaafu Dhaal, Gnaviyani and Seenu) during the period 20 to 24 September 2005, between 1257 and 1305 hrs in the afternoon for about 8 minutes.

In addition there will be an interruption to all international telecommunication services (including Internet and mobile international roaming) during the period 22 to 27 September 2005, between 1257 and 1305 hrs in the afternoon for about 8 minutes.

Sun interference is a natural phenomenon that occurs every year when the sun, communications satellites and earth stations become aligned, causing solar noise to interfere with the satellite communication signals.

We apologise for the inconvenience these unavoidable service degradations may cause our customers.
