Dhiraagu wishes to advise all customers that due to sun interference there will be a degradation in all international telecommunication services (including Internet and Roaming) and all communication between Male' and the Southern Atolls (Gaafu Alif, Gaafu Dhaal, Gnaviyani and Seenu) during the period 16 and 22 March 2004, between 1055hrs - 1110hrs and 1315hrs - 1340hrs in the afternoon for about 8 minutes.

Sun interference is a natural phenomenon that occurs twice every year when the sun, communications satellites and earth stations become aligned, causing solar noise to interfere with the satellite communication signals.
