Please be informed that the majority shareholder of Dhivehi Raajjeyge Gulhun PLC (Dhiraagu) BTC Islands Limited (Batelco) have appointed Mr. Ihab Anwar Hanna Hinnawi as a Non-Executive Director of the Board of Dhivehi Raajjeyge Gulhun Plc (Dhiraagu) as of 31st July 2016.
This appointment is pursuant to the revisions made to the Company’s Articles of Association in April 2016. Under the revised Articles of Association, Article no 70(A), the Board composition was increased from 7 to 9 members, where as one additional Director shall be appointed each by Batelco and the Government of Maldives.
With this new appointment, the Board of Directors is now constituted as follows:
