RB (Raalhu Bis)

  • RB is what you need to get data, voice or text on Mamen.
  • You can purchase RBs directly on the app or redeem a reload voucher.
  • Each RB costs MVR5. Which means an RB will get you 50mb of data, or 5 minutes of voice or 50 text message.
  • RBs don’t expire at the end of the month. You can use them for a very long time.

    • 1. What is Mamen?
      Mamen is a mobile plan where users can customize how much data, voice or text messaging they need.
    • 2. How can I use Mamen?
      Customers can only use Mamen by downloading the Mamen app and signing up.
    • 3. How do I download Mamen?
      You can purchase a new Mamen SIM card which has bonus data of 200MB allocated for downloading the app OR you use WIFI to download.
    • 4. What happens to the bonus data on Mamen SIM after I download Mamen?
      Bonus data can be used until its depleted.
    • 5. If I am on an existing Dhiraagu PREPAID plan, can I use Mamen?
      Yes. However, you will need to migrate to Mamen after you have downloaded and installed the app. You will receive notifications to follow this process
    • 6. What happens to my existing PREPAID balance?
      Your existing prepaid balance will be transferred to Mamen plan.
    • 7. Will add-ons in my previous PREPAID plan such as ‘Ring back tones’ and other value added services be transferred?
      NO. Only the main balance amount will be transferred.
    • 8. Can a Dhiraagu POSTPAID customer use Mamen?
      YES. Postpaid customer will have to present themselves at a Dhiraagu customer service and clear any outstanding bills before sign up process begins.
    • 9. Can I skip the sign up process?
      No. Sign up is mandatory to begin using Mamen
    • 10. What information do I need to give for sign up?
      User name, Mobile number, email, DOB, address and NID card picture to be uploaded to the app.
    • 11. Can you access Mamen app without data or 3G/4G?
      To access mamen app, you have to have 3G/4G enabled, or wifi enabled. 
    • 12. Do I need to have data in my plan to enable mamen app?
      No data/ data build/ bundle required. You can access mamen app as long as 3G/4G or wifi enabled?
    • 13. What is RB?
      RB (Raalhubis) is the medium of exchange on Mamen It is required to build your plans on MAMEN. RBs are purchased online or by reload voucher and then exchanged for data, voice or text. 1 RB is equivalent to MVR 5
    • 14. What is the Value of 1 RB?
      1 RB has 5 voice minutes, 50 SMS and 50MB
    • 15. What is the value of ‘Double the Value’ promotional offer?
      1 RB has 10 voice minutes, 100 SMS and 100MB 
    • 16. How long is promotion validity?
      Double the value promotion is valid till 10 July 2018
    • 17. How can I reload or recharge?
      You can reload from the app itself or use a physical recharge voucher and enter the codes into app
    • 18. Can I track my usage in real time?
      Your data, voice and SMS usage appears in real time in the home menu. You can track and monitor anytime. No hidden charges!
    • 19. How do I build my mobile plan?
      You can build data, voice or SMS according to your needs by sliding the bars to the right in the ‘build’ tab of the app. However, you need to have minimum of 1 RB or MVR 5
    • 20. Can I take back RBs or convert back?
      Yes. You can go to ‘take back’ tab and convert any unused data, voice or SMS that has been build previously. Mamen gives total control to the users.
    • 21. Can I transfer my RBs?
      Yes. Go to ‘Transfers’ in the menu and send or request RBs from other Mamen users. You will have to have minimum 10RBs to send or request
    • 22. Can I send or request RB from other mobile plan users such as prepaid/postpaid?
      NO. RB transfer is allowed only amongst Mamen users only.
    • 23. Will I be able to check my RB send/request history?
      Yes. Your history will appear real-time on the transfer menu.
    • 24. What will happen if I make IDD call and send international SMS?
      Respective IDD call rates and SMS will apply and it will be deducted from the main core RB balance. The build plan will not be used for IDD and international SMS.
    • 25. What are partner offers?
      It is a lifestyle café’/shop partners onboard Mamen giving offers and discounts for Mamen users
    • 26. How can I redeem the partner offers?
      Users can click on the offer and get the unique coupon code in app. They need to show the code at partnershops to redeem the offers
    • 27. Can I disable partner offers notifications?
      Only those partner offers who have been favorited by user will have push notifications
    • 28. How can I favorite partner offers?
      You can click the star button on the right top corner of the partner offer.
    • 29. What are the other notifications which I will receive?
      Users will receive additional notifications from Dhiraagu about events, news and promotions
    • 30. Can you enable/disable all notifications?
      Yes. Go to settings and toggle the notification slider
    • 31. What is the Live Chat function?
      Live chat is a real time chat function within the app designed to engage and chat with our customer care agents. Users can enquire on Mamen in real time 24/7
    • 32. How can invite a friend to join Mamen?
      Mamen customers can view there contact list and send an invitation to friends who are not on Mamen plan.
    • 33. Will I be charged while using MAMEN app?
      No. Data Usage for Mamen App is free.
    • 34. Will I be charged for other premium services such as shortcodes and other premium rate numbers?
      You will be charged for calls or SMS made to any eligible shortcodes. Charges will be deducted from the main RB balance.
    • 35. What is the expiry date of Mamen SIM?
      A Mamen SIM is active for 365 days upon every reload/recharge you make

    • WHO WE ARE AND WHAT THIS AGREEMENT DOES

      We Dhivehi Raajjeyge Gulhun Plc of with company number C-0024/1988 whose registered office is at Dhiraagu Head Office, Ameenee Magu, , P.O. Box 2082, Male’, Republic of Maldives (‘Dhiraagu’) license you to use:

      • MAMEN mobile application software (Mamen App) and any updates or supplements to it; and
      • the telecommunication services we provide to you throught the Mamen App and the content including all products, offers, value added services, as well as other additional related services we provide to you through it (Mamen Plan).
      as permitted in these terms.

      The use of the Mamen Plan is subject to the DHIRAAGU General Terms and Conditions for Provision of Telecommunication Services and the following (Terms of Service). By using the Services, you are agreeing to all of the Terms of Service, as may be updated by us from time to time.



    • HOW YOU MAY USE THE MAMEN APP

      The Mamen App is available to iPhones or Android devices as a free downloadable app from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. Dhiraagu post-paid customers will need to apply for the Mamen Plan through Dhiraagu customer services, call center or via the app chat request.


      Through the Mamen Plan you can design and build your own prepaid mobile package, including local minutes, SMS and data to suit your own needs.


      By signing up to a Mamen Plan you agree:

      • to be on our network for at least a miminimum of 30 days;
      • that your contacts will be will be uploaded to our servers for validation. The contacts are not stored nor shared with any third parties. We only use such data for transfer requests and in the invite module.

      In return for your agreeing to comply with these terms you may:

      • download the Mamen App onto [NUMBER AND DESCRIPTION OF MOBILE TELEPHONE OR HANDHELD DEVICES ONTO WHICH APP MAY BE DOWNLOADED] and view, use and display the Mamen App and the Mamen Plan on such devices for your personal purposes only;
      • receive and use any free update of the App incorporating “patches” and corrections of errors as we may provide to you;
      • be offered promotional offers through the Mamen App. The offers may be subject to validity and separate conditions and only applicable to you. You cannot transfer such promotional offers;
      • be offered value added services or offers by our Partners.


    • USE OF RBs

      RB (Raalhu Bis) is the trading unit used in the Mamen app.


      You can top-up your RB points through our reload service, recharge vouchers or the bank payment gateway in the Mamen app. All prices quoted during top-up are inclusive of 6% GST. Prices will be adjusted according to the prevailing GST rates.


      You can request for RBs from other Mamen users who appear on your contact list. If you accept such a transfer, your RB balance will increase the same amount. You will have the option to accept or reject any such requests for transfers.


    • YOUR PRIVACY

      We only use any personal data we collect through your use of the Mamen App and the Mamen Plan in the ways set out in our privacy policy which you can find under clause 21 of Terms of Service (https://www.dhiraagu.com.mv/Terms_and_Conditions.aspx)


      Please be aware that internet transmissions are never completely private or secure and that any message or information you send using the App or any Service may be read or intercepted by others, even if there is a special notice that a particular transmission is encrypted.


    • SUPPORT FOR THE APP AND HOW TO TELL US ABOUT PROBLEMS

      Support. If you want to learn more about the App or the Service or have any problems using them, please take a look at our support resources at www.dhiraagu.com.mv.


      Contacting us (including with complaints). If you think the App or the Services are faulty or misdescribed or wish to contact us for any other reason please email our customer service team at 123@dhiraagu.com.mv or call them on 3322802.


      How we will communicate with you. If we have to contact, you we will do so through our website or SMS using the contact details you have provided to us.


    • YOU MAY NOT TRANSFER THE APP TO SOMEONE ELSE

      We are giving you personally the right to use the Mamen App and the Mamen Plan as set out above. Whilst you may have sharing rights as set out above, you may not otherwise transfer the Mamen App or the Mamen Plan to someone else, whether for money, for anything else or for free. If you sell any device on which the Mamen App is installed, you must remove the MamenApp from it.


    • CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

      We may need to change these terms to reflect changes in law or best practice or to deal with additional features which we introduce.


    • UPDATE TO THE APP AND CHANGES TO THE SERVICE

      From time to time we may automatically update the Mamen App and change the features of the Mamen Plan to improve performance, enhance functionality, reflect changes to the operating system or address security issues. Alternatively we may ask you to update the Mamen App for these reasons.


      If you choose not to install such updates or if you opt out of automatic updates you may not be able to continue using the Mamen App and the Mamen Plan.


    • IF SOMEONE ELSE OWNS THE PHONE OR DEVICE YOU ARE USING

      If you download or stream the Mamen App onto any phone or other device not owned by you, you must have the owner’s permission to do so. You will be responsible for complying with these terms, whether or not you own the phone or other device.


    • WE MAY COLLECT TECHNICAL DATA ABOUT YOUR DEVICE

      By using the Mamen App or any of the Mamen Plan, you agree to us collecting and using technical information about the devices you use the Mamen App on and related software, hardware and peripherals to improve our products and to provide any Mamen Plan to you.


    • WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR OTHER WEBSITES YOU LINK TO

      The Mamen App or any Mamen Plan may contain links to other independent websites which are not provided by us. Such independent sites are not under our control, and we are not responsible for and have not checked and approved their content or their privacy policies (if any).


      You will need to make your own independent judgement about whether to use any such independent sites, including whether to buy any products or services offered by them.


    • LICENCE RESTRICTIONS

      You agree that you will:

      • except in the course of permitted sharing set out above, you my not provide, or otherwise make available, the Mamen App or the Mamen Plan in any form, in whole or in part to any person without prior written consent from us;
      • not copy the Mamen App, except as part of the normal use of the App or where it is necessary for the purpose of back-up or operational security;
      • not translate, merge, adapt, vary, alter or modify, the whole or any part of the Mamen App nor permit the Mamen App or any part of them to be combined with, or become incorporated in, any other programs, except as necessary to use the Mamen App on devices as permitted in these terms;
      • not disassemble, de-compile, reverse engineer or create derivative works based on the whole or any part of the Mamen App or the Mamen Plan nor attempt to do any such things.


    • ACCEPTABLE USE RESTRICTIONS

      You must:

      • not use the Mamen App or Mamen Plan in any unlawful manner, for any unlawful purpose, or in any manner inconsistent with these terms, or act fraudulently or maliciously, for example, by hacking into or inserting malicious code, such as viruses, or harmful data, into the Mamen App or any operating system;
      • not infringe our intellectual property rights or those of any third party in relation to your use of the Mamen App;
      • not transmit any material that is defamatory, offensive or otherwise objectionable in relation to your use of the Mamen App or any Mamen Plan;
      • not use the Mamen App or any Mamen Plan in a way that could damage, disable, overburden, impair or compromise our systems or security or interfere with other users; and
      • not collect or harvest any information or data from the Mamen App or our systems or attempt to decipher any transmissions to or from the servers.


    • INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

      All intellectual property rights in the Mamen App, throughout the world belong to us and the rights in the Mamen App are licensed (not sold) to you. You have no intellectual property rights in, or to, the Mamen App, the other than the right to use them in accordance with these terms.


    • OUR RESPONSIBILITY FOR LOSS OR DAMAGE SUFFERED BY YOU

      We do not exclude or limit in any way our liability to you where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or the negligence of our employees, agents or subcontractors or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Our liability to you is limited to the ways set out in our clause 19 of the Terms of Service (https://www.dhiraagu.com.mv/Terms_and_Conditions.aspx). Our aggregate liability under this Agreement is limited to the lesser of the total charges for the Mamen Plan provided during the month in which such liability arises or the sum of Fifteen Thousand Maldivian Rufiyaa (MRf 15,000).


      We are not liable for business losses. The Mamen App is for domestic and private use. If you use the Mamen App for any commercial, business or resale purpose we will have no liability to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, or loss of business opportunity.


      Limitations to the Mamen App. The Mamen App is provided for general information and entertainment purposes only. Although we make reasonable efforts to update the information provided by the Mamen App, we make no representations, warranties or guarantees, whether express or implied, that such information is accurate, complete or up to date.


      Please back-up content and data used with the App. We recommend that you back up any content and data used in connection with the Mamen App, to protect yourself in case of problems with the Mamen App.


      Check that the MAmen App and the MAmen Plan are suitable for you. Please check that the facilities and functions of the Mamen App and the Mamen Plan meet your requirements.


      We are not responsible for events outside our control.


    • WE MAY END YOUR RIGHTS TO USE THE APP AND THE SERVICES IF YOU BREAK THESE TERMS

      We may end your rights to use the Mamen App and Mamen Plan at any time if you have broken these terms in a serious way. If what you have done can be put right we will give you a reasonable opportunity to do so.


    • WE MAY TRANSFER THIS AGREEMENT TO SOMEONE ELSE

      We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation. We will always tell you in writing if this happens and we will ensure that the transfer will not affect your rights under this Agreement.


    • YOU NEED OUR CONSENT TO TRANSFER YOUR RIGHTS TO SOMEONE ELSE

      You may only transfer your rights or your obligations under these terms to another person if we agree in writing.


    • NO RIGHTS FOR THIRD PARTIES

      This agreement does not give rise to any rights to third parties to enforce any term of this Agreement.


    • IF A COURT FINDS PART OF THIS CONTRACT ILLEGAL, THE REST WILL CONTINUE IN FORCE

      Each of the paragraphs of these terms operates separately. If any court or relevant authority decides that any of them are unlawful, the remaining paragraphs will remain in full force and effect.


    • EVEN IF WE DELAY IN ENFORCING THIS CONTRACT, WE CAN STILL ENFORCE IT LATER

      Even if we delay in enforcing this contract, we can still enforce it later. If we do not insist immediately that you do anything you are required to do under these terms, or if we delay in taking steps against you in respect of your breaking this contract, that will not mean that you do not have to do those things and it will not prevent us taking steps against you at a later date.


    • WHICH LAWS APPLY TO THIS CONTRACT AND WHERE YOU MAY BRING LEGAL PROCEEDINGS

      These terms are governed by Maldivian law and you can bring legal proceedings in respect of the products in the Maldivian courts.
