We have concluded International Roaming agreements with 307 GSM operators in 120 countries. This means that our mobile customers can use these GSM networks to make and receive calls when visiting these countries. Also, customers from these countries can use their mobile phones when visiting Maldives.

Prepaid customers

Our prepaid customers will be able to use roaming facility with 280 operators in 111 countries. Receiving calls while on roaming would be cheaper than making calls. Customers who want to recharge their prepaid mobile accounts while on roaming may use Dhiraagu recharge vouchers or simply recharge through Dhiraagu Quick Top-up or Quick Recharge service.

Also, customers from these countries can use their mobile phones when visiting Maldives.

All call charges whilst roaming are converted to your home currency and appear on your normal GSM bill. So you don’t need to spend foreign exchange on calls!

For Mobile customers there is no connection fee or monthly charge. Depending on customer records, we also offer deposit free roaming or reduce the roaming deposit by 50%.

Dhiraagu utilizes the 900Mhz GSM technology, however, if your handset supports dual band (900Mhz & 1800Mhz) you will still be able roam in Maldives.
