International Postpaid Roaming

Dhiraagu has concluded International Roaming agreements with 215 GSM operators in 80 countries. This means that our mobile customers can use these GSM networks to make and receive calls when visiting these countries. Also, customers from these countries can use their mobile phones when visiting Maldives.

All call charges whilst roaming are converted to your home currency and appear on your normal GSM bill. So you don’t need to spend foreign exchange on calls!

For Mobile customers there is no connection fee or monthly charge. Depending on customer records, we also offer deposit free roaming or reduce the roaming deposit by 50%. For Mobile roaming charges please click here

Dhiraagu utilises the 900Mhz GSM technology, however, if your handset supports dual band (900Mhz & 1800Mhz) you will still be able roam in Maldives.

Prepaid Roaming

Dhiraagu prepaid customers will be able to use roaming facility with 195 operators in more than 80 countries.Customers who want to recharge their prepaid mobile accounts while on roaming may use Dhiraagu recharge vouchers or simply recharge through Dhiraagu Quick Top-up or Quick Recharge service.

Local Direct Dial

Local Direct Dial (LDD) service allows Dhiraagu customers to call mobile phone users who are roaming in the Maldives on Dhiraagu’s GSM network, at a premium local call rate simply by adding “#” in front of the number to be dialed.
