Direct Debit is the easiest way to pay Dhiraagu bills. This is a FREE service to you as Dhiraagu pays all the Bank charges.

Just instruct your Bank to deduct the amount of your phone bill from your bank account every month and to pay it over to Dhiraagu before the due date. Your Bank and Dhiraagu will do the rest.

With Direct Debit, there is no need to worry about your phone being disconnected for non-payment because you are out of the country or have forgotten to pay the bill. You won’t need to write cheque's, queue at the Dhiraagu counter or even visit our offices at all to pay your bills.

This service is NOW AVAILABLE to Bank of Maldives and State Bank of India (SBI) account holders. Other banks in the Maldives are not yet ready for the service.

How does it work?

1. The customer submits a completed Application for Direct Debit service to any Dhiraagu Customer Front Office. The form authorizes his Bank to deduct from his account, each month, the amount owed on his Dhiraagu bill(s). These forms are available from Dhiraagu. You can also download it from here.

2. Dhiraagu forwards the application to the Bank.

3. The Bank processes the application and either accepts or rejects it depending on the status and usage history of the customer’s account and informs Dhiraagu of the decision.

4. Dhiraagu advises the customer of the Bank’s decision.

5. If the application has been accepted, Dhiraagu informs the Bank, each month of the amount of the customer’s Dhiraagu bill.

6. The Bank deducts this amount from the customer’s account and pays it over to Dhiraagu just before the due date of the bill.

7. The customer receives his bill as before and may contact Dhiraagu in the usual manner if he has any queries. The bill is for information only – the Bank will pay it automatically.

Important Points to Note

You need to apply only once and the Bank will do the automatic bill payment
every month until you cancel the service.

Any queries about your bill should be directed to Dhiraagu. These will be
investigated thoroughly and any adjustment necessary will be made on the
subsequent bill.

If Dhiraagu or your Bank makes an error, a correction will be made to your Bank account or to your Dhiraagu account to reinstate it to the status prior to the error.

Your Bank may charge you if there are insufficient funds in your account.
Dhiraagu will charge an administration fee of MRf 200.

If you transfer your bank account, you should contact Dhiraagu immediately or
beforehand so that we can make the necessary adjustments.

You may cancel the service at any time by writing to your Bank and advising
Dhiraagu (Dhiraagu and your Bank will need 7 working days to process your
request).
