The National Discount Scheme and the IDD Discount Scheme offer small to medium sized organizations opportunities to make savings on their fixed line communication costs.

Customers who have registered their accounts with Dhiraagu as a Business or Government customer may subscribe to these schemes by submitting a completed Application for Telephone Lines to Dhiraagu.

Customers who subscribe to this scheme will receive a 4% discount on local and national calls when their call charges exceed Rf4,000 during a billing month. The discount will apply for calls made from all the fixed lines under a customer's account.

There is no setup charge or monthly fee for this scheme.

The discount will only apply for calls made to fixed and mobile customers of
Dhiraagu.

The discount will not apply for calls made to special numbers such as 110
(Directory Enquiries), 126 and 127 (Internet dial up numbers) and premium rate numbers that will be introduced in the future.

The IDD Discount Scheme

Customers who subscribe to this scheme will receive a 10% discount on International Direct Dialed (IDD) calls to 3 countries nominated by the customer. The discount will apply for calls made from all the fixed lines under a customer's account .

There will be a setup fee of Rf300 and a monthly fee of Rf200 for this scheme.

If the customer does not nominate 3 countries at the time of initial application, he can do so at any time but there will be a charge of Rf100 per country.

The nominated countries can be changed but there will be a charge of Rf100 per country.

Requests for changes to nominated numbers will, in most cases, become effective the next working day.

The discount will not apply for international calls made through the Dhiraagu
international operators (190) and direct dialed calls to satellite phones.

The monthly charge for the scheme will not be prorated i.e. even if you subscribe to the scheme in the middle of a billing month, the full rental for the month will be charged.

You may apply to disconnect from the scheme at any time but Dhiraagu will
actually do the disconnection at the end of the billing month. In the meantime you can continue to enjoy the discount.

A customer may subscribe to both the National Discount Scheme and the IDD Discount Scheme. However the National Discount Scheme cannot be used with any other National discount scheme and the IDD Discount Scheme cannot be used with any other IDD discount scheme.

The minimum period of subscription for these schemes is 12 months.
