Star Plus, with its wide variety of easy-to-use services highly optimizes the efficiency of your telephone line. Speed Dialing, Do Not Disturb, Alarm Calls, Call Waiting, Call Forward and Star Lock are among the services that Star Plus can add to a telephone line.

If you are interested, you can subscribe to the Star Plus package. It is not necessary that you choose the whole Star Plus package - you can be selective and choose only the services you need. You don't have to subscribe to Call waiting and Alarm Calls which are provided FREE, just activate it from your phone.

Helps you to dial frequently called numbers by only dialing two digits. Particularly beneficial when dialing long strings of overseas numbers.

The Speed Dialing features permits you to dial pre-programmed numbers using fewer digits than normally required.

- Lift the receiver
- Key the access code * 51 *
- Key the abbreviated dialing code. (20 - 39)
- Key *
- Dial the number to be programmed. key #
- Confirmation tone will be given
- Code registration is completed

eg. * 51 * 20 * 0081471822124 #

To Originate a Call

- Lift the receiver
- Key the service prefix * *
- Key the speed dialing code (20 -39)

The system will automatically dial your pre-programmed number. When the called party answers please proceed as a normal call. If the called party is busy and you wish to reattempt please repeat the steps above.

To Turn Off Speed Dialing

- Lift the receiver
- Key the access code #51 *
- Key the speed dialing code (20 - 39)
- Key #
- Confirmation tone will be given
- Code cancellation is completed

Eg. #51* 20 #

You can programme your telephone so that when you are not in or do not wish to be disturbed, all incoming calls are automatically directed to a pre-recorded message as follows:
“The customer requests not to be disturbed, please call later.”

To Turn On Do Not Disturb

- Lift the receiver
- Key the access code * 26 #
- Confirmation tone will be given
- Do Not Disturb registration is complete

To Turn Off Do Not Disturb

- Lift the receiver #
- Key the access code * 26 #
- Confirmation tone will be given
- Do Not Disturb registration is complete

To Turn Off Do Not Disturb

- Lift the receiver #
- Key the access code # 26
- Confirmation tone will be given
- Do Not Disturb cancellation is complete

NOTE: When Do Not Disturb is activated Alarm Calls can still be received normally.

To Turn On Call Waiting

- Lift the receiver
- Key the access code * 43 #
- Confirmation tone will be given
- Call Waiting registration is completed

To Answer the Incoming Call

- Lift the receiver
- Wait for the ringing signal
- Answer the new call

NOTE: This action would disconnect your previous call which cannot be retrieved.

To Answer a New Call Placing Your 1st Call On Hold

- Flash the Hook switch
- Key 2 (within 60 seconds)

You are now connected to your new caller and your first call is placed on hold. By repeating the above action (Flash hook switch and Key 2) you can change from one call to another without disconnecting the two calls.

To Turn Off Call Waiting

- Lift the receiver
- Key the access code # 43 #
- Call waiting cancellation is completed

NOTE: The two calls are completely private

Call Forwarding allows incoming calls to be automatically transferred to a selected telephone number any where in the Maldives. Hence you will never miss an important call while you are away from your home or office.

To Turn Call Forwarding On

- Lift the receiver
- Key the access code * 21 *
- Key the customer number to which calls are to be transferred
- Key #
- Confirmation tone will be given

eg. * 21 * XXXXXXX # (where XXXXXXX is customer number)

To Turn Call Forwarding Off

- Lift the receiver
- Key the access code # 21
- Key * followed by the customer number and key # when cancelling by the transferred   customer, or key # when cancelling by service registered customer number
- Confirmation tone will be given
- Call Forwarding is cancelled

NOTE:

Outgoing calls are still possible even if the service is activated. A distinct Dial Tone is provided to remind the user that incoming calls are diverted to a pre-assigned telephone number.
The Call Forwarding customer will be charged for the part of the call set up between his telephone and the one to which the calls are been forwarded.
Call Forwarding can only be effective to the assigned number. In the event that the assigned telephone has also been programmed with Call Forwarding, diverted calls will only terminate at the first assigned number and will not be forwarded further.

Star Lock helps you to prevent unauthorized overseas calls from your dedicated quick line by using a password of your choice.

Star Lock allows the customer to bar international outgoing calls. The registration and cancellation are done by the customer using a (4 digit) password chosen by the customer.

To Turn On StarLock

-Lift the receiver
- Key the access code * 34 *
- Key the chosen password (4 digit)
- Key * and 2
- Key #
- Confirmation tone will be given

eg. * 34 * XXXX * 2 # where XXXX is password (4 digit)

To Turn Off StarLock

- Lift the receiver
- Key the access code # 34 *
- Key the chosen password
- Key #
- Confirmation tone will be given

eg. # 34 * XXXX # where XXXX is password (4 digit)

NOTE:

The password is determined by the customer and pre-programmed at the exchange during the initial set up of Starlock Services by the customer.
If an attempt is made to originate an international call whilst Starlock is activated, the user will receive a continuous tone.
