Prepaid Classic

The ideal travel companion providing critical communication support in emergency situations and in places where there is no or little GSM coverage, Prepaid Classic is designed for fishing vessels, yachts, safari operators and seafarers, who can depend on this satellite based communication when there is no mobile coverage.

Initial US$ 10 credit has a validity period of 30 days after call is made.
When the credit validity period is over, any remaining balance will
expire and will be reset to zero.
You can recharge your account with any of the available Thuraya
recharge voucher denominations.
Each Thuraya recharge voucher denomination has a corresponding
credit validity period.

Account Validity

Account validity is extended by recharging. Each Thuraya recharge
voucher has a corresponding credit validity period.
Account remains on active status as long as account balance is within
the credit validity period.
Upon credit expiry, your account enters into a grace period. During
the grace period, you will be given two months to recharge your
account. You will still be able to receive incoming calls.
If your account is not recharged within the grace period, it will enter
into the reactivation period. No calls are possible during reactivation
period, except calls to 150 (Prepaid account main menu). You still have four months to reactivate your account by paying US$ 25.
If your account is not reactivated, it will be deactivated from the system at the end of the reactivation period.

Thuraya Recharge Voucher Credit Validity

Your account can be recharged using Thuraya recharge vouchers, which are available in various denominations, starting as low as US$ 10 .

Each Thuraya recharge voucher has a corresponding credit amount
which you can consume within the credit validity period.
Credit validity is cumulative. Maximum credit validity is 18 months.
Upon credit expiry, balance in account will be reset to zero.

Postpaid

Dhiraagu Satellite Phone Service offers Postpaid packages which allow you the convenience of paying later, while enabling you to benefit from the full features of the satellite phone. The Satellite Phone service can gain access through the satellite system during unforeseen circumstances or in times of crisis, when the national network is out of reach.

Postpaid Pricing

The Postpaid pricing includes five monthly packages addressing a wide range of usage levels.

Data/Fax charges – Postpaid

Fax/Data calls are charged the same as voice calls and are included in the package minutes.
You will be allocated a pair of numbers – one for receiving data, and
another for receiving fax calls. Those who are interested in sending
fax/data to Thuraya subscribers must use the fax/data numbers
allocated to them.

Postpaid Dial-up Internet service

Dial-Up Internet service is charged the same as voice calls and are included in the package minutes. You must have the data service enabled in order to use this service.

Postpaid Policy

New Activation

When you subscribe to a Postpaid package, you will be charged the
monthly fee on a pro-rated basis, even if your account is activated in the middle of the month. The included package minutes will also be pro-rated.

Destinations included in the package minutes

Package minutes can be used for calls to most popular destinations.
Calls to other satellite networks and rarely called destinations such as
INMARSAT, Iridium, Walls & Futuna, Sao Tome, etc., will be charged on top of the monthly fee, with a price/minute of US$ 6.

Unused package minutes

Packaged minutes must be used within the month. Unused minutes will expire and will not be carried over to the next month.

Movement between packages

You will be allowed to move between packages. Package upgrade is
done for free. However, for the package downgrade, a processing fee of US$ 25 will be charged. Since requested upgrades or downgrades
will take effect on the 1st day of the following billing period, such
requests can only be made once a month.

Temporary suspension of packages

You may request for temporary suspension of the service at any
time of the month. During temporary suspension, you cannot make
or receive calls. However, you will be charged the full monthly fee of
the package.

Minimum contract duration

The minimum contract duration for the Postpaid package is only one
month. You can request for deactivation at any time during the month, although you will be charged the full monthly fee of the package.
