The Quick Recharge (QR) service allows a Dhiraagu postpaid customer to recharge the balance of a Dhiraagu prepaid customer account by sending an SMS to 144, and have the recharge amount applied to the monthly postpaid bill.
How do I get started?
You need to register for the service.
To register for QR service you would have to send a “REGISTER”
SMS.
In the “REGISTER” SMS, you would have to create your own unique
Customer ID.
The system will retain your Customer ID and use it to verify your
identity if you lose or forget your PIN.
Once you register you will receive a PIN number via SMS. You would
be using this PIN number for all your future transactions.
You could change the PIN number by sending a “CHANGE” SMS.
Please refer to the tables here for instructions.
How do I use the service?
To recharge a Dhiraagu prepaid from a postpaid, the postpaid customer would have to send an SMS to 144 in the following format:
< Keyword> <PIN> <recipient mobile number> <amount>
Once a QR SMS is sent you will receive a transaction ID. This should be retained and quoted to Dhiraagu Customer Services in the event you may wish to follow further enquiries.
When a transaction is complete, both sender and receiver will get a confirmation SMS.
If the prepaid account is in suspended or disabled state, the QR will change the account status to active.
You can send any denomination recharge from Rf1 to Rf500 in Rf1 increments, and the amount will be applied to your monthly mobile bill.
The prepaid recipient can verify the prepaid account balance in the normal way by dialing *142#. Postpaid customers will be able to check on ‘E-Bill' to confirm that the amount has been applied to their monthly mobile bill.
What are the charges for using this service?
Each QR SMS sent will be charged Rf 1 per SMS.
You will not be charged for receiving a QR SMS.
What else can I do with this service?
Scheduling monthly recharges
QR service allows you to set up maximum of 5 monthly recharges to other prepaid accounts. Please refer to the tables in this user guide for guidance on the QR SMS format to be used for the monthly recharge.
You could choose a day (e.g. 15 th ) for the credit to be transferred to another Dhiraagu prepaid account and the specified amount will be transferred on that day of every month.
If you set up the monthly transfer on a date before the chosen day, (e.g. you set up the transfer on the 12 th and your chosen day for the credit transfer is 15 th ) then the first transfer will occur in the same month. However, if your chosen date comes before the date you set up the transfer, (e.g. you set up the transfer on the 12 th but your chosen date for transfer is on the 8 th ) your first transfer would happen on the following month.
Unregistering from the service
If after registering for the QR service you decide you do not wish to use the service anymore, send a QR SMS to 144 with the keyword UNREG followed by your PIN, and you will be removed from the service. If you wish to use the service again you will have to re-register by sending a QR SMS in the “REGISTER” keyword format in order to obtain a new PIN. You will be required to provide proof that you are the owner of the postpaid account. Blocking your number from using QR service
If you wish to block your postpaid mobile from ever using the QR service, you can send an SMS to 144 with the keyword BLOCK. This will prevent your account from being able to register for the QR service.
Obtaining help with the QR service
You can send an SMS with keyword HELP to 144 in order to receive information on the keywords available with QR service.
For information on specific keywords send an SMS to 144 with the keyword HELP followed by the keyword about which you require more information.
You do not need to be registered in order to use QR HELP facility.
For any general inquiries regarding QR service, please contact Dhiraagu Customer Care on 123.
What else do I need to know about the service?
A QR can be for any amount from Rf1 to Rf500 in Rf1 increments. The following table lists the validity periods associated with the recharge amount:
A QR can only be performed to a Dhiraagu prepaid mobile account
that has a validity period remaining. If the account is suspended,
disabled or retired, the transaction will be unsuccessful.
The maximum you can transfer daily is Rf1000.
A QR SMS will be charged at Rf1 whether or not the transaction is
successful, so please make sure that:
The prepaid account to which you are making the recharge has not
been withdrawn.
The prepaid number which you are recharging is a Dhiraagu Prepaid
number.
The amount you are recharging will not cause the receiving prepaid
account to exceed Rf3000, which is the maximum credit balance that
a prepaid account can have.
You will not be charged for any QR SMS that you receive.
Note:
It is possible that the SMS you receive confirming the successful transaction could be delayed.
If you have any queries concerning a specific transaction, just contact Dhiraagu customer care on 123 and quote your transaction ID or your mobile number. Our staff will be able to assist you with your inquiry. |
