Package Connection


When a customer subscribes to a package, the subscription will be charged for the remaining days of the month (for the first month). However, ALL the free minutes specified for the package will be available irrespective of the connection date.

E.g. 1

If a new customer subscribes to the Platinum package on 20th of July, the subscription charged for July would be [no. of days from July 21st to 31] x [Platinum subscription fee /31]. In this case Rf 337 will be charged as the subscription fee and the customer will get 1400 free minutes (i.e. all the minutes included in the package).

E.g. 2

If a Mobile customer using the Basic Service subscribes to the Platinum package on 20th of July, he would be charged [no. of days from July 1 to July 20] x [Rf100/31]. For the days after 20th, he would be charged [no. of days from 21st to 31st July ] x [Platinum subscription fee / 31].

 

Temporary suspension of service

A standard fee of Rf 115 will be charged for a period of 6 months and Rf 300 for a period of 12 months.

 

Packages transfers

When a customer transfers from one package to another, the subscription is pro-rated and charged. For example, if a customer transfers from Silver to Bronze on the 20th of July, he would be charged [no. of days from July 1st to July 20th ] x [Silver subscription/31]. For the days after 20th, he would be charged [no. of days from 21st to 31st July] x [Bronze subscription fee / 31].

The free minutes they receive will be the free minutes specified for the package the customer is subscribed to at the time of producing the phone bill. Eg. A customer is in Silver which gives 300 free minutes.

The customer uses up 30 minutes and changes to Bronze which has 120 free
minutes. In this case, during this month, he can use additional 90 minutes. (ie 120 -
30).

The customer uses up 120 minutes and changes to Bronze which has 120 free
minutes. In this case, during this month, he is not entitled to anymore free minutes.
(ie 120 - 120).

The customer uses up 130 minutes and changes to Bronze which has 120 free
minutes.

In this case, during this month, he is NOT entitled to any more free minutes. He will
also NOT be charged again for the extra 10 minutes he had used.

The customer uses up 100 minutes and moves to Gold which has 650 free minutes.
In this case, he will be allowed an additional 550 free minutes (650 - 100).

The customer can change from one package to another only once during each billing month. Customers can also move back to basic service without any charge.  

 

Package ownership change

The standard ownership change fee of Rf 100 will be charged to the new owner.

 

Package disconnection

A customer may disconnect a package at anytime after one month from the date of subscription.

 

Mobile Post-paid Standard Deposit Policy

When applying for Post-paid service, new customers and customers with poor credit history should keep a deposit of minimum Rf 500 per line, with or without IDD service. The deposit can be increased in increments of Rf 200, and is applicable to all customers. Customers are advised to keep a deposit appropriate to their usage and ideally it should not be less than the package monthly fee. For eg. if you subscribe for a Diamond package, the ideal deposit amount will be atleast Rf 650.

When you have used up your deposit limit your line may be disconnected without any notice. If this happens you have to either increase your deposit or pay your phone bill.

You can check your usage by using our E-bill and SMS Bill Enquiry Service. We have also introduced an SMS reminder service to our deposit customers to advise and remind them before they reach their deposit limit.

Foreign Nationals and Foreign Investments should keep a minimum deposit of Rf 1000 per line.

 

Deposit for International Roaming Service

No deposit is required for customers with average monthly bills over Rf 1000 and paid all on time over the last 6 months.

A deposit of Rf 1000 per line is required for customers with average monthly bills under Rf 1000 and paid all on time over the last 6 months.

Platinum customers are also required to place a deposit of Rf 1000 if the average monthly bills are under Rf 1000 and paid all on time over the last 6 months.

A deposit of Rf 2000 per line is required for all other customers. (Also applicable to Platinum customers who fall to this category.

 

Deposit Refund

We will refund the deposit for all local customers who have paid their bills on time
over the last 6 months. If you would like to get the refund please call 123.

For Foreign nationals and Foreign investments, the deposit will be refunded after
disconnection of service. Exceptions may be made as appropriate.

Roaming deposits of Foreign nationals and Foreign investments should be refunded
once the customer applies to terminate roaming service.
